Hello e-world. My name is Matt Wilson and I’m the Events Director at The Conference People……….and this is the first episode of my blog.

I’ve been working at The Conference People (TCP) for over 3 years now and my role consists of managing some of our key clients events, managing the events team in general, which is easy as we have such a great events team, and also internet marketing (Pay per click, SEO and blogs!).

We have a wonderful client list and work with great people. In particular I work closely with eBay on their education programme, and with Abcam, a rapidly growing company that provides antibodies for research. The nice thing about the Abcam events is that they’re always in the Caribbean, so we’re off to the Dominican Republic in December for some winter sun (and of course hard work). I’ll post some blogs about eBay and Abcam soon as they’re really interesting programmes.

On a personal level I became a father for the first time on October 15 2006. My wife gave birth to a beautiful girl, Rowan Esme. She’s a beauty despite the sleepless nights! I’ll keep you posted on her progress.

Currently working on the final details of our next eBay University event (www.ebay.co.uk/university) which is at the University of Exeter this Saturday 11 November. Well worth attending if you’re new to eBay or already buy and sell on eBay and want to be a millionaire!!!!
