Just heard that one of our favourite colleagues has been promoted. Griselda Vazquez, from the Hilton Golf Resort and Spa in Cancun (http://www.hilton.com/en/hi/hotels/index.jhtml?ctyhocn=CUNHRHH) has been made Head of Event Operations.

We’d previously worked with Griselda when she was at the Gran Melia Cancun (http://www.solmelia.com/solNew/hoteles/jsp/C_Hotel_Description.jsp?codigoHotel=5836) and we were managing the first Abcam Chromatin Conference, now we’re working with her at this great property for the first Abcam Stem Cells event.

Both of these hotels, along with many others, were battered by Hurricane Wilma in October 2005, but after a few million dollars has been spent they are now open again and looking better than ever.
