I promised you last time that I will tell you more about the Creative Partnerships Event as soon as it was over. Well, it is over now. And it was amazing!!
The event was called ‘exciting minds’ and its aim was to explore the importance of creativity in education. Therefore, most of the delegates were teachers and local authority staff. The Event was split in to two parts. The first part was the ‘exciting minds’ arena which took place on Monday only. It featured 50 companies, organisations and initiatives that offered teachers advice, ideas, resources and spaces for conversations. All organisations exhibited in white inflatable booths. It looked amazing!!! Repeated!! The exhibition also included a big library and a cinema.

The second part was a two day conference which took place on Monday and Tuesday. The delegates could choose between various different sessions that interested them. The sessions varied from topics like ‘Creativity and Early Years”, to ‘Building schools for the future’ to ‘What are we learning as creative partners’. Between the sessions delegates could listen to music created by pupils in school projects or relax while having a look around the arena.
I think it was a great success. All the delegates I spoke to after the event found it very interesting and informative and of course very well organised.
On Monday evening we went out for Dinner and found a Christmas market. As a German I got totally excited, because we have Christmas Markets in every little village and I hadn’t seen one in England. I thought I would miss out this year, but I was wrong. I really like Gluehwein (in England known as Mulled Wine). It means to me that Christmas is almost here. (You should know that I LOVE Christmas) So we had a pre-dinner drink on this nice little market and afterwards went out for a typical English Dinner – Curry!!
We came back on Tuesday evening. Everyone was very tired, but also very happy to have been a part of this successful event.
