… and a Happy 2007 to you all!

December was a bit hectic preparing for a big event we had at Hilton Cancun Golf & Spa Resort in Mexico(http://www.hiltonworldresorts.com/resorts/Cancun/index.html). The hotel is beautiful - right on the beach! The Caribbean Ocean was a privilege to see up close. The hotel was buzzing with our delegates, holiday makers and even one of Mexico’s most popular football / soccer teams, Monteray!  

I had to travel alone and meet my colleagues out there, but I was lucky enough to have been booked on a direct flight with First Choice airlines. My first reaction when I realised what airline I was travelling with, was not a very calm one. After all isn’t First Choice a travel agency??? However, my opinion has been converted. It was a pleasure to travel with them. The crew and pilots were polite, pleasant and funny and very accommodating. The spacious leg room was as promised. Although I was travelling on business, I highly recommend booking a holiday or at least a flight with First Choice - you’ll be pleasantly surprised, as I was! Christmas and New Year came and went. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the best of times. I became ill with a horrible viral infection. I won’t go into the ugly details, but I am now a loyal supporter of NHS Direct (http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/) The nurses on the other end of the line were very reassuring with their knowledge.

I’m well and back at work now, ready for another great year at The Conference People!
