Hopefully all UK residents are safe and untouched by yesterdays incredible gales that stormed through the country. Nature is unbelievable at times - the waves clashing, the trees splitting. Quite frankly, it was scary walking through the town centre fearing that a shingle was going to fly off some rooftop and smack someone (me!) on the head. This morning, however, the sun is shining and the wind is just blowing a breeze making outdoor ventures a little less hazardous.
So, time management and me! What does this mean? Well, I’m afraid that my exceptional organisational skills, which are so effectively showcased at The Conference People are lost on me and my personal life. When will I ever be on time for a friend’s dinner party, mother-in-law’s surprise birthday party, husband’s award night? The answer eludes me. As I was born into this world two weeks late, I’ve used this excuse all my life - born late, arrive late!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcissism My second excuse, which I happen to think more credible - Greek parents! http://www.gpa1952.org/ Because of them, I like to think that I have a more laid back Mediterranean view of time. And the third excuse, which I’m just throwing in for good measure and really has no bearing on my time management skills, and because I tend to get a bit homesick every now and then - I AM CANADIAN!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_am_Canadian
- Hey, I’m not a lumberjack, or a fur trader
- I don’t live in an igloo or eat blubber, or own a dogsled
- and I don’t know Jimmy, Sally or Suzy from Canada,
- although I’m certain they’re really really nice.
- I have a Prime Minister, not a president.
- I speak English and French, not American.
- And I pronounce it ‘about’, not ‘a boot’.
- I can proudly sew my country’s flag on my backpack.
- I believe in peace keeping, not policing,
- diversity, not assimilation,
- and that the beaver is a truly proud and noble animal.
- A toque is a hat, a chesterfield is a couch,
- and it is pronounced ‘zed’ not ‘zee’, ‘zed’ !!!!
- Canada is the second largest landmass!
- The first nation of hockey!
- and the best part of North America
My name is Rose!!!
And I am Canadian!!!
Well, on that note, I’m ready for an early start to the weekend
