Hello Readers,

Its been a while I know, but you know how it is, absolutley crazed in Venue Finding and everyone has had the flu at somepoint, but onwards and upwards.

As Penny mentioned earlier, we were very fortunate to get tickets to see Kylie at Wembley at the beginning of January.  I was eight rows from the front and screamed like a big girlie throughout the whole show.  It was absolutely fantastic, quite a surreal experience when a person whom you’ve idolised for almost 18 years is standing fifteen feet away and yes…I wept.  I also had way too much wine before the show, attempted to stand on the chair which folded up and I went a over t, I don’t think Kylie noticed but the big drag queen next to me wasn’t too happy!

Talking of Penny again, she is now Mrs Boxall (I know!) and we had a wicked hen night for her a couple of weeks ago.  We decided to have a classy do this time around and not the usual tackfest we normally have (girls, you know what I mean!).  Needless to say, the night ended in the kebab shop, nose pressed up against the display unit, salivating for goat in a bap…at least it started classy.

The mothership is landing!  Yes Lady Graham is making her annual pilgrimage shortly, looking forward to seeing her, dont get me wrong, but a long lunch with my mother is taxing.  All she wants to do is shop, which of course is a hobby of mine, but when your dragged into Fenwicks, whilst she gets measured for a bra and then proceeds to come out of the changing room every time she tries one on, thrusts her bosom in your face and asks ‘how does this look?’, you will understand where I’m coming from!  It was actually priceless, all the ladies shopping would come up and nod knowingly as I sat there surrounded by unmentionables, asking was it the wife I was waiting for?  You can imagine their horror when I told them it was the mother!  I’m telling you people…you can’t make this stuff up.

Been out and about as usual, sniffing out those little gems that you may not have heard of and my hotel of the month is the delicious Hotel AB Skipper in Barcelona (www.hotelabskipper.com).  Situated in the Olympic Port, 50 metres from the beach, this stunning, contemporary property is the latest addition to Barcelona’s ever expanding hotel portfolio and its a cracker!  241 stylish rooms, most with extraordinary views, meeting space for upto 675 and  several restaurants including the fine dining ‘Syrah’ which will have the Michelin guys sniffing around soon I bet.  Well worth a look the next time your in town.

Thats it for now dear readers, wrap up well, eat, drink and keep each other warm, its a cold wind a blowing!
