Portofino Coast - Italy

The Conference People was invited to take part in the Excellence meets Excellence Workshops, organized by Moulden Marketing www.mouldenmarketing.co.uk at Portofino, Italy

An early start on the 15th March from London Gatwick & a very busy, chaotic North terminal due to the conveyer belts coming to a holt, which caused queues left, right & centre in the airport and passengers wondering if they were going to make their flights in time.

Arrived in Pisa airport at lunch time & transferred to host hotel by coach (about a 2 hour trip), we had lunch en-route at a typical Italian restaurant situated in the hills with stunning views. In the evening we went to Abbazia di San Girolamo al Monte di Portofino  ‘Cervara’ www.cervara.it monumental complex located between  Santa Marherita Ligure & Portofino makes it a ideal venue for both inside & outside events i.e conference, meetings & concerts, private parties & weddings can be cater for up to 500 people. The Belvedere Terrace, which faces the sea on the Italian Garden, which can seat 30 – 100 people. Followed by a welcome dinner at Ristorante Manellina in Recco sampling the Ligurian tradition & fine wines of the region.

The host hotel was the Portofino Kulm www.portofinokulm.it in Camogli, a lovely quaint Italian hotel located in the winding mountain roads of this beautiful fishing town. This four star turn of the century hotel is 1200 feet above see level, which has been restored to its original splendor and offers 77 guest rooms with TV, minibar, phone & safe, also Indoor pool & hot tub, fitness centre & meeting facilities for up to 350 people, gala dinners & fashion shows in their Kursaal hall.
