Hi!

I’m Fay Bednall and I’m a new Event Manager here at the Conference People. As a member of the Event Management team I am only one week old but it already feels like I’ve been here much longer as everyone has made me feel really welcome. 

Before joining the team here at The Conference People (or a fortnight ago!) I worked for the Alias Hotel Seattle in Brighton Marina.  http://www.aliashotels.com/flash.php?hotel=seattle  At the Seattle I was responsible for the organisation of various corporate events. The Seattle is a great hotel and the waterside location, spacious and light function rooms and stylish mix of old world furniture combined with sleek modern design always made it very effortless to sell as a conference venue.

My move from the Seattle to the Conference People has been a smooth one, which I feel is mainly due to the similarities between the two companies. Both companies value the employee and focus on staff development and care in order to provide a superior product for the client. The Seattle and The Conference People both aim to offer a very personal service for their clients, the route of which is the employee. This is great for me as I am a strong believer in this concept!

I already have my teeth sunk firmly into my first event –  TMAP 2007, The Traffic Management and Parking Conference and Exhibition at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, which is the UK’s most prestigious and topical event surrounding the Traffic Management and Parking industry. http://www.tmap2007.co.uk/ . Bridgewater Hall is a £42 million international concert hall, and also a unique alternative conference venue. The building, with its contemporary architecture and distinctive design, is located in the conference quarter of Manchester adjacent to the GMEX and Manchester International Convention Centre. http://www.bridgewater-hall.co.uk/ .

So hopefully I’ll be back here soon to fill you in on the antics of the new girl…. but that’s all for now….must get back to TMAP!
