The Conference People are proud to be managing the first World Social Marketing Conference

Hundreds of delegates from across the globe are expected to converge on Brighton, UK, in September for the very first World Social Marketing Conference and Exhibition.

The groundbreaking event will be opened by Professor Phillip Kotler, the social marketing pioneer who has led the development and application of social marketing techniques for over 30 years. High profile political and media personalities, Al Gore, Nancy Lee and Jay Bernhardt are among other key speakers on the invitation list. Up to 50 exhibition spaces will be available.

Organised by the UK’s National Social Marketing Centre, in partnership with the University of Lethbridge, Canada, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the event runs for two days - 29th and 30th September - at the Hilton Brighton Metropole.

It will provide a forum for the exchange of information across the full extent of the social marketing industry – from practitioners to academics and public sector to corporate sector. With over 300 available presentation slots the event will appeal to delegates across a variety of sectors, and cover three streams - academic, theory, and policy and practical application. Delegates will also have the opportunity to focus on health, environment or civic engagement within the days’ discussions.

Patrick Ladbury, Programme Manager at the National Social Marketing Centre said:
‘The World Social Marketing Conference is by far the most significant event for social marketing professionals across the globe. Behavioural challenges lie at the heart of many of the issues facing governments and organisations around the world. This conference is the first time that practitioners in social marketing from around the world will come together to discuss the key issues and share ideas on how to address them.”
