My recent visit to The Brit Oval for the ODI England v New Zealand was an interesting one. I’ve now been to 4 ODI’s and only seen England win once!! But even so it’s always a great day.
The Brit Oval is not just a great cricket ground. The venue offers a wide selection of meeting space for corporate events seating up to 500 people down to smaller rooms for between 40 and 350 guests and executive boxes for 2 to 50 people, overlooking the Brit Oval wicket and across to the historic pavilion. An ideal venue for Christmas parties, dinners, meetings, seminars, exhibitions, training courses and product launches or road shows. Supported by an excellent local transport system this venue is great for the carbon footprint.

Of course there is another outstanding Cricket Conference Venue in London, the historic Lords, home to Middlesex. In June 2007 The Conference People’s event management team ran a conference for Natural England where the conference explored how natural green spaces can enhance the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities. With the help of Marches Energy Agency each delegate had to plot their carbon footprint to the venue. We each used 4.3% of our annual carbon footprint in just that one day!

These great venues are certainly worth considering when planning corporate events.
