For the past few weeks we’ve been preparing for the Autoglass 2009 Roadshow, a series of events in November that The Conference People have been fortunate to have won the contract to manage.

The initial brief was to manage 10 roadshow events at venues around the country, for approx 180 delegates per event. Our proposal was to produce a Top Gear style set and theme the presentations around the show (without any copyright issues of cause) and, working closely with the brilliant team at Autoglass, we’re pretty much ready to hit the road.

Over the next few weeks I’m going to try and find the time between events to review all of the venues and hotels we’re using, and probably a few restaurants and bars as well. Here’s the roadshow schedule (all dates are for November 2008)

3rd  - Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh

4th  - At Bristol

5th - Royal Berkshire Conference Centre, at Madjeski Stadium, Reading FC

6th - Mercedes Benz World, Weybridge

10th - National Motorcycle Museum, Bickenhill

12th - Magna Centre, Rotherham

17th - Milton Keynes Dons Stadium

19th - Manchester United, Old Trafford (Boooooo), sorry, I’m a Liverpool fan and its a built in reaction. I could have been ruder and should point out they have excellent conference facilities, and the service I’ve received so far from their conference manager has, rather sadly, been excellent.

20th - Radisson SAS Stansted Airport

Half of our crew are flying up to Edinburgh on Saturday and the rest are taking the wagon up with all of the kit for what will be a fantastic stage set.
