Tom makes some really interesting points about how clients are beoming increasingly demanding and are insisting on conference venues having a green agenda. He also quite rightly points out that its not about being “nice to be seen being green” but is a real commitment to the environment. Great stuff.

However, without wishing to be negative, over the past 18 months I’ve still seen terrible examples of energy, food and resources wasted at conference venues in the UK and Europe. Lets hope the excellent example set by Cavendish, who have some superb conference venues in London, is matched by hotels, venues and agencies alike in the conference and event industry.
