One of the most enjoyable fam trips I went on was to the Hilton Dusseldorf we had two nights at The Hilton Dusseldorf Hotel is just 10 minutes’ drive from the airport, Old Town and the Fairground. On the first day we had a venue inspection of the hotel which has an impressive 21 meeting rooms for 5-1500. Located just 2 miles from the city centre, the hotel is an ideal base to explore Dusseldorf attractions like the picturesque Old Town and the River Rhine. Once we had finished the site inspection we visited the Rhine Tower which is 234,20 m high (don’t worry there is a lift!) we could sit in the restaurant at the top and soak up the views of the Dusseldorf city. When we arrived back to the hotel there were two costumes laying on the bed……one clown costume and one surgeon’s costume (yes I got the short straw of the clown) and we went to a show held in the largest room at the hotel, it was a pre-carnival warm up. The next day we were up early and told to put our costumes back on…..as it was Carnival! Where more than 6000 revelers dressed in screaming colours and uniforms parade through the city – need I say more!
