Let’s start with the beautifully obvious British Library, the largest library in Britain. This venue can offer multiple spaces accommodating from 10 to 255 people to suit any event from board meetings to formal dinners, conferences to product launches!
Perfect for: Literary Classics
How about heading to Edinburgh to visit the Signet Library? This stunning space is very impressive showcasing high ceilings and original décor. With a maximum capacity of 400 guests standing, there would be plenty to talk about!

Or maybe you’d like the Royal College of Physicians. Why not host your event in the Dorchester Library and embrace this venue’s 500 years of history? This room is capable of hosting 96 delegates in a cabaret layout, fingers crossed delegates don’t get distracted reading all the interesting book titles!
Perfect for: Non-fiction buffs
We definitely couldn’t forget The Bodleian and Weston Libraries in Oxford in our five favourites. Having been featured in no less than three Harry Potter films, Inspector Morse and even an X-Men movie, this venue really is the place to be. With the Blackwell Hall seating 250 guests and even a roof terrace for 100 people standing, there’s no limit to what this venue can do!
Perfect for: Book to film fanatics
Finally, this feature wouldn’t be complete without mentioning 10 – 11 Carlton House Terrace. This one is a much more intimate affair, the Lee Library being able to seat 30 on a boardroom table. Flooded with natural daylight and lined with literature dating back to 1902, it’s a great place to make those important business decisions!
