From 4 October until 10 October marks World Space Week! We couldn’t quite get an interview with the UK’s very own Tim Peake but we’ve got a great back up option for you…One fantastic blog of space related venues – time to get your science head on!
Let’s start with We The Curious in Bristol, this fantastic venue has a maximum capacity of 460 theatre style or 240 cabaret style. A lovely terrace runs alongside the main room which works well for drinks receptions and barbeques. There’s always the option of adding some sparkle to your event by booking the Planetarium for an exclusive show with one of their experts guiding you through the night sky with an awe-inspiring view of the galaxies.

How about the Science Museum in London? This is an amazing venue for evening drinks or dinners allowing guests after hours access to the museum. They also have a brand new exclusive events space due to open in February 2019 which will be available for day or evening hire with a capacity of up to 400 people!

Or maybe you’d like the Life Science Centre in Newcastle Upon Tyne. With a variety of spaces available to hire including the planetarium, an ice rink, various interactive zones and meeting rooms, this venue has a lot to offer! If that’s not enough, they can even offer Times Square, the 4,800 sqm of open-air space is one of Newcastle’s most versatile outdoor spaces. It can accommodate your own temporary structure, canopy or marquee, making it the perfect location for a range of events, exhibitions and product launches.

We definitely couldn’t forget Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium in our five favourites. Located in the South Down's National Park, close to the M3, it is available for hire after 4.30pm each day. The Planetarium Cinema can accommodate up to 176 people with screenings in "flat format" cinema or 360 degree planetarium cinema format which would work well for book launches, presentations and a variety of other events.

Finally, this feature wouldn’t be complete without mentioning National Space Centre. The award-winning National Space Centre is a unique conference venue, with a diverse range of spaces and facilities that you would expect from a world class venue. Modern and versatile, the Shuttle Suite conference rooms are available for both daytime and evening hire and are suitable for small meetings and large conferences. The centre is also available for exclusive hire on selected dates, where the galleries can make an unusual breakout location, with the Planetarium becoming your main presentation room.
